Saladplate helps K Company Corp, a sake brand in Japan, open doors in Hong Kong and Singapore

The Supplier

K Company Corp is the owner of Japanese sake brand NEKOSAKE. Since 2010, the company has pursued a business strategy of promoting excellent Japanese products overseas, offering support to other Japanese manufacturers wanting to export -- including undertaking market research for them -- and selling its own brand of sake abroad.

The Challenge:

For some time K Company Corp has found it challenging connecting with good buyers or distribution partners across Asia Pacific, which has been limiting its ability to expand through exports.

The Solution:

When the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) encouraged K Company Corp to participate in a Japanese products promotion in partnership with Saladplate, the company leapt at the opportunity. One initiative of the promotion was to ease cross-border delivery to customers in Hong Kong and Singapore to sample new products.

This drew new potential clients to K Company Corp which led to “a good number” of new sales and supply contracts.

“Saladplate’s promotion was effective and different to those offered by other services,” a company spokesperson said. “It was a good plus for us.”

During the Japanese products promotion, Saladplate successfully enhanced the exposure of K Company Corp. Pageviews rose 562.5%, while the number of website visitors grew 10-fold. Such figures show the effectiveness of Saladplate, and the benefit to manufactures of choosing the right platform.

Saladplate believes that every business has its own potential, but it is essential to pick the right platform to show off your products to the world. Start your journey with Saladplate and maybe you could become the next successful customer case.
