Quick-service restaurants are getting a little a bit saucy.

Dallas-based Wingstop Inc. is selling a bottle of its ranch dressing with a year’s supply of refills on eBay; and Miami-based Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a division of Burger King owner Restaurant Brands International Inc., is debuting a line of retail sauces.

The bidding on eBay, which ends March 14, was already at $1,550 at 1 p.m. CDT Tuesday. The Wingstop sauce offer had 71 bidders.

Wingstop’s eBay auction began March 10, also known as National Ranch Day. It is one of the brand’s most popular dipping sauces, representatives said.

“Wingstop ranch isn’t just any dip – it’s legendary. We’ve seen ranch fountains go viral and people cater Wingstop ranch at their weddings. But one of the biggest trends we see is fans begging us to bottle and sell our house-made ranch,” Mark Christensen, Wingstop’s chief revenue officer, said in a statement.

To add to its value, the winner will receive a certificate of authenticity signed by Larry Bellah, Wingstop’s head of culinary. All proceeds from the sale will benefit Wingstop Charities.

Popeyes sauces, which were officially announced on Tuesday, will be available in groceries nationwide. The 18-ounce bottles include the flavors: Blackened Ranch, Sweet Heat, and Mardi Gras Mustard. The Blackened Ranch and Sweet Heat varieties will be available March 15, and the Mardi Gras Mustard will be offered later this spring.

Wingstop, founded in 1994, has more than 2,500 locations. Popeyes, founded in 1972, has 3,520 locations in the United States and more internationally.
