About This Session

Foodservice operators have proven most successful in the SE Asian market when they have worked to best understand their customer. Big data insights can help to narrow the gap on the years of experience and big budgets that it might otherwise take to develop this expertise. Using the GlobalData "Trendsights" consumer behaviour framework and ten years of insights data, this presentation will identify some of the unique motivations in the foodservice consumer from Southeast Asia and the mega-trends behind them.

Key takeaways will include:

  • Which megatrends are powering the growth of the foodservice sector in SE Asia and how do these compare by country and demography
  • How do consumers compare in their loyalty to local and overseas brands and cuisines in different countries and what factors are behind their beliefs
  • How can you better track the trajectory of foodservice trends in SE Asia against developments in the rest of the region and the rest of the world
